Background
Ulfric fought in the Great War against the Aldmeri Dominion and was captured and tortured by the Thalmor. After the war, he became disillusioned with the Empire's surrender and began the Stormcloak rebellion to free Skyrim from Imperial control.
Role in the Civil War
Ulfric leads the Stormcloaks in their fight against the Imperial Legion. Players can choose to support either side in the Civil War, with Ulfric as the leader of the Stormcloak faction.
